Mental Health
A two-tier platform to support people with mental illness and help fill in missing 'data-gaps'.
Contributing to the debate of mental health within society and being a major contributor to World Mental Health Day, Janseen and the Economist Intelligence Unit proposed an in-depth analysis of mental health across 30 European countries.
Handed the 43 page analysis upon arrival at the EIU office and only six weeks to create a digital 'platform', I collaborated with the EIU content, data and digital team and led the full creative direction and user experience of the platform. My approach consisted of two phases; phase one was the creation of the platform within the deadline, with phase two developing the platform to glean additional data that filled in 'data-gaps' from researchers and professionals across Europe.
As the EIU's data dived deep into mental health across Europe, my role was to simplify the data and allow it to be easily understood and consumed by the audience. The result was a platform that utilised infographics and data charts to allow easy access of the data.
Phase two of the project consisted of allowing professionals, who had real on-the-ground experience and knowledge of the profession, to answer a series of interactive questions that would fill in 'data-gaps' and allow them to actively contribute to the development of the debate and data.
With the Janseen platform hailed as a success, I was asked to lead the creative direction of Flood Economics, a platform that housed 30 years of flood mitigation data from across the US. Working alongside the EIU and Ogilvy the platform received praise from Obama himself.
